6 Tips on How to make your pole dance training better.

Mar 16, 2023

1) Have a plan.

Couple of hours or days before your training start looking online for an inspiration. It can be anything. We all take inspo from different things.

Some people watch ballet and they try to copy their moves onto the pole. Some do yoga and try to incorporate it in their pole training. Some do Fitness, dancing, cirque etc.

Find what inspires you to move. To create.

2) Save the videos or pictures you found, or make a note or drawing of what you want to do during your practice. It would be great if you can mark it with signs, so you can check it after you tried it. It makes training more productive and seeing that you did this and that gives you feeling of moving forward. No mater what moves you tried and even if you could not do it the way you wanted to (by the way this is totally normal - not being able to do tricks or splits or anything straight away) you will feel good and you will see that you done something instead of thinking that was a bad training.❤️

3) Pick the outfit you feel comfortable in and that makes you feel your best.

Maybe it sounds silly but wearing the outfit that makes you feel like a Queen 👑 or King 👑 will make the training way more fun. Feeling uncomfortable in your suit makes it harder to train and to fully enjoy your practice.

4) Put the phone on “Do not disturb” during your class. So many times it happens that someone calls or writes us or notification 📱 in Facebook or IG comes up and we get distracted. We r spending too much time on it and then getting cold 🥶 and don’t feel like getting back to our training.

For me one of the best sessions is when I know that the room is available only for 1 hour, so I don’t have time to talk to anyone or get distracted or go thru IG. I do my warm up and then go thru whatever I can on my list and in the end get so much done just in this little hour.

And totally opposite when I know I have lots of time - I take it super easy. Walk a lot. Stand a lot. Lay a lot. Think a lot. And train little.

5) Play your favorite music. You probably know - when you hear something you like you start moving.

6) Don't beat yourself up. Any training is better than no training.

Enjoy it. Have fun. Explore. Go out of your comfort zone. Or do what you already good at. Moving is amazing. It is healthy and makes us so much happier.
