Did you know that you could be blocking yourself from becoming more flexible?
I know it sounds weird but that can be true.
Notice when you train what you say to yourself when you stretch. Do you say - “oh no, that’s not for me”,
“I can’t do it” or maybe “I’m not flexible” or “Yeah, well that’s impossible!”?
Sometimes I can even see it in the face expressions of my students who take my flexibility classes. I see skepticism and doubts. Or I see the head going from left to right saying no =)
And then I see how shocked they get when they actually CAN do the exercise. When they CAN reach their leg. The common thing after they do - they say - “oh my god, I was sure I can’t do it”. Or “I though it is impossible!”
Everything you say to yourself is an affirmation.
If you say you can’t do something - it becomes true. It becomes your reality. Sooo next time you train or prepare for your training try to say these affirmations:
❤️ I’m flexible
❤️ My body is flexible
❤️ My shoulders are flexible
❤️ I CAN DO IT 💪
Actually - try to say it now 🙌🙌🙌
You can even try to visualize it. See how you do exercises. See how long you stay in each position. How you enter and how you exit.
Every little detail.
And pay attention now to what you say to yourself.
Try to change your limiting beliefs.
Be open and see what your body can do when you believe in it and support it.
